Who We Are: CTB is a 501(c)(3) organization with one goal – giving unwanted dogs a chance to blossom into family companions. We are a dog rescue based in Conroe, Texas, with foster volunteers located in surrounding areas. By foster, we mean that there are loving people who willingly take in these beautiful transient creatures and do their very best to provide them with safety, security and love. If we do not have a foster we have a daycare/boarding facility that houses, socializes, provides love and attention, as well as working with the pups to maximize adoption potential. Many of the dogs we save are abandoned simply because of their breed, age, physical disabilities, or illness. We help the ones whose time is up at the shelter, the ones who get overlooked time and time again in the overpopulated shelter, where they simply shut down and don't do well on the adoption floor, that is the core of why we do what we do. While we openly take in dogs who are in good shape, our focus is on saving those who are most likely to be thrown away, abandoned, unloved, and never given the chance to blossom. This organization was founded on the principle that all life is precious and should be given the chance to be loved, cherished, cared for, and given a a chance to bloom!
Dogs in shelters are there for many reasons: Some are owner surrenders, some are brought in as strays, and some dogs are found abandoned, left to fend for themselves in vacant homes, fields, on the side of the road, some simply wandered off from their families and having no tag or microchip can’t find their way home, or they do have one of these items and the family simply doesn't want them any longer. These dogs have time limits at most shelters and CTB offers them rescue. A Chance to Bloom does not discriminate and feels that each of these dogs, no matter their size, age, color, condition or the reason they are there all deserve a second chance at life, a chance to bloom...we help all those we can. This is why we are always in need of Fosters, Volunteers and fund donations to cover vetting and caring for the many dogs that have found themselves lucky and found their chance to bloom.
